Roadway Friction for Heavy Trucks

This two hour lecture is a systematic approach to determine roadway friction and its application to commercial vehicle braking systems. We will examine: pavement friction testing of roadways, commercial vehicle braking systems and determining what portion of the available pavement friction can be utilized by the commercial vehicle in its deceleration.

Time Distance analysis for Commercial Vehicles utilizing Brake Efficiency and Truck EDR Data

This two hour lecture focuses on the practical application of utilizing truck deceleration values and event recorder data to analysis pre collision time distance events. This outlined step by step approach is designed to provide the investigator with the tools needed to conduct a comparative analysis of roadway evidence and electronic data. This course will utilize both modern analytical software and demonstration by common formula.
